A place where I can share the quotes that I have collected (and keep collecting) over the years. I have gathered them from all sorts of sources. The "Quote of the Day" posts will always be a quote from a book and may be on any topic.

Quote It! Saturday

Psst. It's me. The Quote Mistress. Yes, I'm still here. Not keeping up with my book blog...let alone my quotes blog. But trying to kick-start it into action again.

In the meantime, Freda's Voice has a wonderful meme called
Quote It! that I'm also going to try to get back into. You can post as many quotes as you like. To join in, hop on over to Freda's place!

Here's my quote for today. It's from my current read:

Show me any man who teaches literature, and I will show you a man thwarted. For it is our universal, hidden conviction that we, too, could write, were it not for the necessity of earning our daily bread.

The Red Lamp (p. 6)
~Mary Roberts Rinehart

  2. Oh good quote.

I have a Quotes and Things Blog also. I could play along, but I'm just to lazy. My quote for the day..."It's my lazy day.."

    1. Lately, every day has been my lazy day. Not getting near enough reading and blogging done.
